  • Boralex closes C$202m financing for 125MW/500MWh Oxford BESS with SNGRDC

Boralex and Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation secured C$202m (US$144m) in financing for the 125MW/500MWh Oxford Battery Energy Storage Project in Ontario. CIBC and National Bank of Canada arranged the green loan package, which includes a C$166m construction loan that will convert to a five-year term amortised over 20 years, a C$25m ITC-linked bridge loan and an C$11m letter of credit facility. Commercial operations are scheduled for 2027, the project is being developed in a 50/50 partnership and the financing will reduce near-term equity requirements. Selkirk Advisory Group and Riverside Risk Advisors advise the borrower, with legal counsel named for both sides. » More on finance.yahoo.com

  • Boralex reaches 3.8 GW capacity but reports significant earnings miss in Q4 2025

Boralex grew operationally and increased installed capacity to 3,783 MW, but reported Q4 2025 EPS of $0.13, a 77% miss versus expectations. Production and EBITDA rose compared with 2024 but fell short of internal targets, mainly due to weaker wind resources in North America and lower short-term power prices in France. The company commissioned large BESS projects in Ontario, expanded its pipeline to 8.2 GW and aims for around 7,000 MW by 2030 under the HORIZON 2030 strategy. For 2026/2027 management forecasts a substantial earnings improvement (EPS of $6.55 and $7.12, respectively) and cites financing measures to preserve liquidity. » More on de.investing.com
