American Family to acquire Bowhead Specialty for $1.2 billion

American Family has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Bowhead Specialty for approximately $1.2 billion, paying $34.00 per share in cash, representing an 11% premium to the July 31, 2026 closing price. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026 and is subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals. American Family will fund the purchase from cash and liquid assets; the acquisition is not contingent on financing conditions.
