Canada Nickel plans private placement of flow-through shares for C$4.97m
Canada Nickel announces a non-brokered private placement of up to 2.4 million flow-through shares at C$2.07 each, targeting gross proceeds of C$4.97 million. The proceeds are to be used for qualifying exploration expenditures, including spending on critical minerals in Ontario; expenditures must be incurred by December 31, 2027 and assigned to subscribers with an effective date no later than December 31, 2026. Closing is scheduled for June 10, 2026 and is subject to customary conditions and TSX Venture Exchange approval; the issued securities will be subject to a hold period of four months plus one day. Canada Nickel advances expansion of CO2-free industrial center in Ontario
Canada Nickel is expanding its strategic partnership with NetCarb to develop a CO2-free industrial cluster in northeastern Ontario. The plan calls for using the Crawford tailings for CO2 storage and to produce blue-green hydrogen, magnesium-based products and low-carbon fertilizers. According to the company, NetCarb’s technology could sequester up to ten times more CO2 than the current process; roughly 300 kg of CO2 storage and 55 kg of hydrogen are estimated per tonne of tailings.
