Capstone Copper resumes Mantoverde operations, expects 50–75% output during strike
Capstone Copper has restarted production at its Mantoverde mine in Chile after a suspension caused by lack of access to the desalination plant. The company says it will operate at about 50% to 75% of normal production while Union #2, representing roughly 22% of the workforce, continues a strike that began Jan 2. Capstone remains willing to negotiate with the union, will follow legal procedures and says it is committed to transparency and community standards. » More on financialpost.com

Capstone Copper reports strong Phase 1 drill results at Mantoverde with higher-than-expected grades and northern extensions
Capstone Copper announced initial assays from its 30,000-metre Phase 1 drill program at Mantoverde, reporting higher-than-expected copper grades in the Brecha Flores sector and results consistent with the block model at Mantoverde Sur and Norte. Step-out drilling along the Santa Clara Corridor and into the Animas area confirmed continuity and northward extension of mineralization, supporting potential resource growth and reserve conversion. The company will advance a Phase 2 program starting in Q4 2025 (~31,500 metres planned across northern pit targets and a 10-km corridor) as part of a two-year, ~$25 million exploration plan. » More on financialpost.com
