Catalyst Acquisition Corp. completes IPO and raises $213.2 million
Catalyst Acquisition Corp. completed an initial public offering on July 29, 2026, selling 20,000,000 units at $10 each and generating $200 million. In addition, 270,000 units were sold in a private placement for $2.7 million; exercise of the overallotment option added a further 1,150,000 units and $11.5 million. Catalyst Resources enters harvest phase after heavy investment, with stronger gold production and cash generation
Catalyst Resources says that after an investment phase the company has built up about A$150m in cash and increased reserves to roughly 1.5m ounces, with a near-term target of 2m ounces. The Plutonic belt is operated as a multi-mine operation supplying a centralized processing plant; projects such as Trident, Plutonic East and K2 have advanced, while Old Highway and Cinnamon are next. Management expects falling capital expenditure, higher gold production and a cost profile that could drop to around A$2.50 per ounce or below once higher-grade ore such as Trident (about 5 g/t) reaches the plant.
