CEZ: reactor unit 2 at Temelin nuclear power plant shut down unexpectedly after control-system fault

Technicians inspected the system and replaced an affected electronic board; further checks are under way and a restart is expected on Thursday. Reactor unit 1 continues to operate unaffected; unit 2 had only been brought back online in April after the annual outage. » More on finanzen.net
CEZ raises 2026 outlook – half-year results show mixed picture
CEZ reported a 10% increase in adjusted net profit to CZK 18.1bn in the first half, while revenue (down 5% to CZK 74.75bn) and EBITDA (down 20% to CZK 59bn) suffered from lower power prices. Operating cash flow rose 55% to CZK 26bn and the company upgraded its 2026 forecasts for EBITDA (CZK 109–114bn) and adjusted net profit (CZK 31–35bn). CEZ is advancing the spin-off of ČEZ Energy; at the same time, rising net debt (about CZK 200bn), margin pressure in coal and volatile power prices weigh on the outlook. The share was unchanged at 498.4 and trades at the lower end of its 52-week range. » More on de.investing.com
