Spider-Man: Brand New Day makes Cinemark record holder for US box office
Cinemark reports that "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" became the highest-grossing film in the company’s domestic market in less than three weeks. The title broke records in premium formats such as Cinemark XD, ScreenX and D-BOX and additionally boosted food and beverage and merchandise sales. Cinemark announces quarterly dividend of $0.09 and appoints Lawrence Burian to board of directors
The board of directors of Cinemark approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.09 per common share, payable on September 9, 2026 to shareholders of record as of August 26, 2026. In addition, Lawrence Burian was appointed immediately to the board as a Class II director, bringing the board to 12 members. Cinemark recorded its highest-grossing three-day weekend in U.S. history from July 31 to Aug. 2, driven by the theatrical release of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" and continued strong demand for "The Odyssey."
