Comstock ramps up solar-module recycling plant after positive test of robot-assisted loading system
Comstock reports successful integration and testing of the robot-assisted loading system, which exceeded planned capacity limits by 10%. The plant is designed to process 100,000 tonnes of end-of-life solar modules per year and will undergo further commissioning steps in July; continuous operation is expected in August. Comstock pushes expansion of solar recycling and plans sale of mining assets
Comstock will expand its business recycling solar modules while selling mining assets; talks on the mine sales are expected to bring in about USD 50 million, with payments starting this year and stretching over several years. The company sees higher returns in solar module recycling than in hard-rock mining and plans to build at least five recycling plants between 2026 and 2030 as well as a demonstration refinery in Nevada with a capacity of one tonne per day. Comstock extends maturity of promissory note with Georges Trust to July 2026
Comstock entered into a second amendment with Georges Trust that pushes the maturity date of the outstanding promissory note from April 15, 2026 to July 15, 2026; all other terms remain essentially unchanged. The original outstanding balance of the note was $4,290,000; in August 2025, 1,500,000 common shares were previously issued to Georges Trust, with net proceeds to be used for repayment.
