Comtech Telecommunications agreed to sell most of its Satellite & Space Communications (S&S) segment to Gilat Satellite Networks for $157.5 million, with the transaction expected to close in late 2026. Proceeds will be used to reduce debt and strengthen the balance sheet alongside amendments to credit and preferred stock agreements. Comtech launches cloud-native 911 emergency-call platform Allerium Mira

Comtech has unveiled the cloud-native Allerium Mira platform for Next Generation 9-1-1, which supports voice calls, text messages and future communication channels via a microservices architecture and can be deployed in shared, private, hybrid or edge environments. Initial deployments at emergency call centers are intended to validate operational workflows, deployment flexibility, interoperability and scalability. Comtech agreed to sell most of its Satellite and Space Communications segment to Gilat for $157.5 million, expecting net cash proceeds of about $143–145 million to be used mainly to reduce debt and improve its capital structure. The company will concentrate on its Allerium public-safety technology portfolio and plans a transition pending regulatory approval.
