Condor stays defiant after OLG ruling in dispute with Lufthansa
The OLG Düsseldorf largely strengthened Lufthansa's position in the main case, but Condor CEO Peter Gerber says the airline will continue the competitive fight and will consider further legal remedies as well as complaints to competition authorities and the European Commission. Lufthansa Group wins legal dispute with Condor against Bundeskartellamt
The Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf overturned a Bundeskartellamt order from August 2022 that had sought to require Lufthansa to continue special agreements with Condor. The court based its decision on procedural errors and concerns about bias in the decision chamber; on the merits, the ruling did not decide Condor’s claim to feeder traffic. Condor forced to divert flight DE 3665 to Brindisi after engine fault
A Condor Boeing 757 on flight DE 3665 to Düsseldorf reported an engine fault with intermittently visible flames shortly after takeoff from Korfu; the aircraft landed safely in Brindisi and is being technically inspected there.
