G-III Apparel beats Q1 forecasts and stock rises
G-III Apparel reported a non-GAAP net loss of $8.7 million (−$0.21 per share) for Q1 of fiscal 2027, but revenue of $536 million, slightly above expectations. Gross margin widened materially thanks to tariff refunds, and owned brands such as Donna Karan and DKNY showed strong growth. Management forecasts further EPS and revenue growth, expects to complete the Marc Jacobs acquisition in Q3, and is focused on expanding its owned brands. UBS lowered its price objective for G-III Apparel to $26 from $30 while maintaining a Neutral rating, citing PVH brand phaseouts and higher SG&A tied to owned labels with concerns extending beyond FY27. G-III reported fiscal 2026 net sales of $2.96 billion, down 7% (including a $254 million hit from lost PVH revenue), and non-GAAP EPS of $2.61; fourth-quarter net sales fell 8.1% to $771.5 million, producing a $31.9 million net loss that included $45 million of impairments.
