Generation Bio: CEO Geoff McDonough resigns and becomes chairman of the board
Generation Bio announced that CEO and president Dr. Geoff McDonough will resign effective October 31, 2025, and will move into the role of chairman of the board. Chief Legal Officer Yalonda Howze will serve as interim CEO and president. The company plans a comprehensive restructuring with a workforce reduction of around 90% by the end of October 2025 and, with support from TD Cowen, is reviewing strategic alternatives such as acquisitions, mergers or asset sales.
