  • Gilead receives EU approval for Trodelvy in combination with Keytruda for triple-negative breast cancer

The European Commission has approved Trodelvy (sacituzumab govitecan) in combination with Keytruda (pembrolizumab) for adult women with inoperable or metastatic, PD‑L1‑positive (CPS≥10) triple‑negative breast cancer. The decision applies to the 27 EU member states as well as Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein and is based on data from the phase‑III ASCENT‑04/KEYNOTE‑D19 study. The combination reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 35% versus standard chemotherapy plus Keytruda. » More on de.investing.com

  • Gilead outpaces Pfizer with clearer growth trajectory

Gilead reported stronger underlying expansion, with product sales excluding Veklury up 10% and HIV revenue rising 12%, driven by Biktarvy, Descovy and the growing Yeztugo launch, while oncology and liver-disease drugs also contributed. Pfizer showed gains from its non-COVID portfolio—launched and acquired products grew 18%—and raised revenue guidance, but overall operational growth was only 1% and the company faces patent headwinds. Gilead's growth is broader today, whereas Pfizer remains an execution-dependent turnaround supported by cost savings and newer product ramps. » More on finance.yahoo.com

  • Gilead's HIV franchise fuels Q2 revenue growth but increases concentration risk

Gilead reported Q2 2026 revenue up about 10% to ~$7.8 billion, led by HIV product sales of roughly $5.7 billion, or about three-quarters of product sales. New HIV launch Yeztugo posted $232 million and Biktarvy and Descovy also grew, while the liver-disease portfolio rose 10% to $877 million. Management raised full-year product-sales guidance, but the company booked an $11.2 billion non-cash loss tied to recent acquisitions as it pays to diversify beyond HIV. Heavy reliance on the HIV franchise and uneven performance in oncology present longer-term commercial and competitive risks. » More on finance.yahoo.com
