Gran Tierra Energy reported Q2 2026 net income of $25 million versus a $119 million loss in the prior quarter, with adjusted EBITDA of $85 million, funds flow of $60 million and free cash flow of about $6 million. Production averaged roughly 41,500 bpd, down from prior periods mainly due to Canadian asset sales and temporary artificial-lift failures. The company repurchased $56 million face value of senior notes, completed a $123 million Suroriente capital carry, sold a Lodgepole interest and removed related retirement obligations. Gran Tierra Energy sells oil business to Maurel & Prom for $1.33bn — shares jump 26%
Gran Tierra Energy has announced a binding agreement to sell its oil business in Colombia and Ecuador to Établissements Maurel & Prom for a total of $1.33bn. The buyer will assume virtually all existing debt; Gran Tierra expects a net cash inflow of about $315m and plans a share buyback program. Pro-forma, a net asset value of roughly $12.49 per share is reported. The company aims for a debt-free balance sheet after closing and will refocus on Canadian assets and exploration in Azerbaijan.
