Halfords has raised its forecast for adjusted pre-tax profit in 2027 to £55–65m, well above the analyst consensus of £52.6m. Management cites implementation of the transformation strategy “Fit for the Future” and an unusually warm summer as drivers; the weather is estimated to have added mid-single-digit millions of pounds. Halfords reports like-for-like sales growth of 4.8% for the year to 3 April 2026; retail rose 4.1% and Autocentres excluding Avayler rose 5.8%. Adjusted profit before tax is expected to be at the top end of the consensus range of £36.0–41.2m, supported by higher gross margins and strict cost control, and the company closed the period with net cash.
