Hino to sell six domestic sales subsidiaries ahead of merger with MFTBC
Hino agreed to sell six Japanese sales subsidiaries as part of preparations for its planned April 1, 2026 merger with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation to form Archion Corporation. It will transfer 80% stakes in five companies (including Higashi Hokkaido, Hokkaido, Miyagi, Fukushima and Minami Kanto Hino Motors) to Taiwanese distributor Ho Tai Motor while retaining up to 20%. Separately, Hino will transfer 88.5% of Shizuoka Hino Motors to Aichi Hino Motors. The company expects a one-off gain in Q1 of fiscal 2026 and says the divestments aim to preserve service quality, maintain fair competition and address potential competition-law concerns after the merger. » More on finance.yahoo.com
