Ibiden raises full-year forecast sharply, stock jumps after quarterly results and stock split
Ibiden reported for Q1 of fiscal 2027 an operating profit increase of 52.4% to 26.9 billion yen and a revenue increase of 26.4% to 123.22 billion yen, both well above analysts' estimates. The company raised its full-year operating profit forecast from 90.0 to 127.0 billion yen, well above the consensus of around 105.0 billion yen. Ibiden cited strong demand for high-performance IC package substrates for generative AI and server applications as the driver; it also announced a 2-for-1 stock split for the end of September.
