  • Iluka raises cash flow and cuts net debt in H1 2026; Balranald and Eneabba on track

Iluka reported an operating cash flow of AUD 247m and free cash flow of AUD 200m from its mineral sands business in H1 2026; net debt fell 42% to AUD 273m. Higher zircon prices and inventory run-down offset an accounting loss, while the Eneabba capital budget remains AUD 1.7–1.8bn. Balranald hit a commissioning milestone with first deliveries planned for September, Eneabba is 60% complete and expected to be mineral‑commissioned in 2027. Management reaffirmed guidance, paid a dividend of 3 cents and continues to secure financing through Export Finance Australia. » More on de.investing.com

  • Iluka Resources reports half-year loss after decline in zircon prices

Iluka Resources recorded a net loss of A$24m for the six months to 30 June, compared with a profit of A$92m a year earlier, hit by weaker zircon prices and lower sales. Revenue fell 22% to A$433m, adjusted group EBITDA dropped 77% to A$53m and the EBITDA margin fell from 39% to 9%. The Balranald mine is operational, ramp-up of production is under way, and the Eneabba rare-earths refinery is 60% complete and expected to start up in 2027. Iluka secured an offtake agreement for rare-earth magnet oxides, a non-recourse loan of A$1.65bn and announced a fully franked interim dividend of 3 cents per share. » More on de.investing.com

  • Iluka Resources shares surge as company shifts into rare earths despite production delays

Iluka Resources has seen its share price climb about 120% in six months as investors back its shift into rare earths from monazite, driven by rising NdPr prices and tighter Chinese supply. The company is building a government‑supported A$1.2 billion processing plant at Eneabba, but first NdPr production has been pushed to mid‑2027 with heavy rare earths expected later in 2027. Analysts warn of “rare earth mania” and cite cost, timing and price uncertainty despite some broker optimism and overweight ratings. » More on forbes.com
