Inchcape increases share buyback to £250 million
Inchcape has increased its ongoing share buyback programme by £75 million from £175 million to £250 million. UBS London will manage the programme on a non-discretionary basis; up to 53,615,114 shares may be repurchased no later than 5 March 2027. Inchcape boosts revenue and adjusted EPS, shares fall after quarterly results
Inchcape reported 1% organic revenue growth in Q4 2025 to £9.1bn and adjusted earnings per share of £0.808 (+13%). Adjusted pre-tax profit rose 3% to £443m, the operating margin was 6.2% and free cash flow was £315m. The company announced a £175m share buyback programme but shares fell about 8.8% as investors expressed skepticism about regional risks and growth prospects. Inchcape reported adjusted EPS growth of 13% to 80.8p for fiscal 2025, with organic revenue up just 1% and total revenue of £9.1bn.
