ING gets tailwind from JPMorgan, target price raised to 38.30 euros
JPMorgan has raised the price target for ING from 36.30 to 38.30 euros and confirmed the rating at "Overweight". Analyst Delphine Lee increased earnings estimates through 2028 by up to 4 percent, mainly due to higher interest rates, and assigned a "Positive Catalyst Watch" ahead of the reporting season. ING CEO Steven van Rijswijk announces a restructuring of the bank: introduction of tiered subscription models in Germany in mid-2027, stronger focus on fee-generating areas such as asset management and payments, and internationalization of technology offerings. The aim is to reduce dependence on net interest income and achieve a revenue mix with around 30–35% fee and commission income in the medium term.
