JPMorgan deploys $5 billion into U.S. security startups in first year

JPMorgan has invested $5 billion in startups during the first year of its U.S. security and resiliency initiative, reaching about half of its initial $10 billion target and signaling the program may be expanded. The bank took stakes in defense-related companies including Hadrian, which builds automated factories, and Castelion, developer of the Blackbeard hypersonic missile. JPMorgan warns of rogue AI agents and urges customers to understand data risks

CEO Jamie Dimon said JPMorgan uses AI agents internally but is not allowing external agents access to customer data, warning of “thousands” of potential rogue agents and a resulting liability transfer to customers.
