J. Smart & Co. reported a profit of £106,000 for the half-year to 31 January 2026, down from £128,000 a year earlier, while revenue rose from £9.0m to £14.8m. Before property valuations an operating loss of £325,000 was recorded (previous year loss £6,000) and basic earnings per share fell to 0.16 pence (previous year 0.17 pence). The company confirms an unchanged interim dividend of 0.96 pence and has repurchased and cancelled 66,300 ordinary shares. J. Underlying operating pre-tax profit excluding revaluation gains fell from £1.25m to £866,000.
