Kao hikes full-year forecast after strong H1 results and shares jump

Kao reported an attributable net profit rise of 32.3% to ¥65.7 billion for H1 2026 and raised its operating profit forecast for fiscal 2026 by about 16%. The announcement of a shareholder benefits program introduced for the first time and a long-running dividend increase (36th consecutive hike) boosted attractiveness to retail investors, sending the stock up 11.5% to ¥3,555. Kao beats Q1 expectations, stock slips

Revenue rose 6% year-on-year, operating profit climbed 45.3% to 44.9 billion JPY, and the operating margin reached 10.9%. Kao Corp. misses EPS forecast for Q4 2025, revenue slightly above plan

Kao Corp. reported Q4 2025 EPS of ¥77.66, missing the forecast of ¥84.26, while revenue of ¥456.6 billion exceeded the expectation of ¥450.04 billion. Fiscal 2025 closed with net sales of ¥1,688.6 billion (+3.7%) and net income of ¥120.1 billion (+11.4%), supported by strong Japan and cosmetics businesses.
