Kohl’s beats earnings forecasts in Q2, revenue falls short of expectations
Kohl’s reports Q2/2026 earnings of $1.28 per share, comfortably above analysts’ estimates, but misses the revenue forecast with $3.32 billion. Comparable-store sales declined 0.9%, while gross margin improved markedly thanks to about $150 million in customs refunds. Management raised its full-year comparable-store sales forecast but kept a cautious outlook due to a still-weak consumer climate and plans share buybacks of roughly $100 million. » More on de.investing.com
Kohl’s names Arianne Parisi chief customer officer
Kohl’s has appointed Arianne Parisi to the newly created role of chief customer officer; she will report to CEO Michael J. Bender and will be responsible for the omnichannel customer experience, including marketing, brand, customer loyalty, personalization, media and digital commerce (Kohls.com and app). Parisi has been Kohl’s chief digital officer since 2025 and brings more than 20 years of retail experience, including roles at JD Sports Fashion, The Finish Line and Nordstrom. The position consolidates marketing and digital under one leader; Christie Raymond, chief marketing officer, is leaving the company in September. » More on de.investing.com

The retailer reported its best comparable sales growth in four years despite revenue pressure and has seen shares climb over the past year. Analysts say progress is encouraging but caution that apparel, footwear and credit‑consumer headwinds mean Kohl's must prove sustained execution to regain market share. » More on cnbc.com
