Liberty Media has completed the relocation of its legal domicile from Delaware to Nevada; the conversion took effect on Monday and now subjects the company to Nevada law. The previous tracking-stock structure for Liberty Formula One shares was eliminated and all outstanding shares as well as related options and RSUs were automatically converted into Nevada shares or awards, while ticker symbols remain unchanged. The company stresses that operations, management and assets remain unchanged, but notes altered shareholder rights. At the Morgan Stanley conference, CEO Greg Maffei said that after the spinoff of Liberty Live, Liberty Media is focusing on Formula 1 and MotoGP as core holdings. F1 achieved 14% revenue growth and a 20% increase in adjusted OIBDA, driven by media rights, sponsorship and race promotion. Liberty emphasizes an opportunistic M&A strategy, plans targeted reinvestments in existing business areas and expects additional reach through a partnership with Apple.
