Berkshire raises stake in Macy's after retailer posts best quarter in four years

Berkshire Hathaway bought about 7.37 million Macy's shares, raising its stake to roughly 2.8% and valuing the position at about $174 million. Macy’s names Alexandre Choueiri CEO of Bluemercury

Macy’s has appointed Alexandre Choueiri as chief executive officer of the luxury cosmetics division Bluemercury. Choueiri will assume the position on August 3, 2026, and will report to Olivier Bron of Bloomingdale’s.
