MaxLinear stock slid about 10.3% premarket despite the company reporting Q2 non-GAAP earnings of $0.35 (consensus $0.33) and revenue of $168.8m (consensus ~ $166m). Management highlighted 55% year-over-year revenue growth and a 145% increase in the data center segment driven by the Keystone PAM4 DSP platform. For Q3, MaxLinear forecasts revenue of $210–220m, well above the analyst consensus of ~ $175m. High analyst expectations, a strong share-price rally before the release, and a still-negative GAAP operating loss of $4.2m led to profit-taking. » More on de.investing.com

MaxLinear partners with Los Alamos to hardware‑accelerate ZFS storage
MaxLinear and the Los Alamos National Laboratory are collaborating to integrate Direct‑IO and the Z.I.A. framework with MaxLinear’s Panther Storage Accelerator SoCs in OpenZFS environments. The goal is to accelerate NVMe flash storage in HPC: tests showed roughly 39× faster writes and 7× faster reads versus conventional ZFS, with up to 57 GB/s read and 47 GB/s write at GZIP‑L9. The solution offloads CPUs by providing inline hardware acceleration for compression and checksums and can scale across multiple Panther accelerators. MaxLinear recently reported revenue growth of 41% to $508.9 million, and analysts expect a return to profitability. » More on de.investing.com
