Republic Airways completes merger with Mesa Air Group and returns to the market as RJET
Republic Airways has completed its merger with Mesa Air Group; Republic shareholders hold around 88% of the common stock, Mesa shareholders between 6% and 12%. The combined company will operate the world’s largest fleet of Embraer E-Jets with 310 aircraft and will offer more than 1,300 daily departures to over 100 destinations in North America. Republic will continue serving American, Delta and United under existing capacity purchase agreements, and Mesa will support United under a new ten-year contract. Shareholders of Mesa Air Group voted in favor of the planned merger with Republic Airways with around 99.25% of votes cast; representatives holding about 71.4% of outstanding shares participated in the extraordinary general meeting. The closing of the transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals but is expected this week. Mesa Air Group extends loan maturity and details merger with Republic Airways
Mesa Air Group has extended the maturity of its loan and guaranty agreement with Jefferies to 28 November 2025 (with an optional 30‑day extension), granted a 90‑day interest‑free period and provided collateral. The company is working on restructuring $121.5 million of liabilities and would achieve a $12.3 million reduction in equity upon full repayment.
