Moleculin reports preliminary blinded data from part A of the phase‑2/3 MIRACLE study of Annamycin plus cytarabine in relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia. Among 62 evaluable patients the preliminary complete remission rate was 24% and the combined remission rate was 37%; in the subgroup with prior venetoclax therapy the rates were 23% and 37%, respectively. So far 74 of 90 patients have been enrolled; the last patient is expected to be treated in September 2026 and unblinded results for part A are anticipated between December 2026 and February 2027. Moleculin reports preliminary results from the first 45 patients in part A of the phase‑2/3 MIRACLE study: complete remission rates were 43% and 36% in the two Annamycin arms versus 12% in the control arm. Composite complete remission rates were 50% and 57% versus 29% in the control arm. The independent data monitoring committee (IDMC) sees a clear numerical advantage despite the lack of statistical significance (due to the O’Brien‑Fleming design) and recommends continuing both dosing arms.
