CVC sells 13.8% stake in Naturgy via Goldman Sachs for around €4 billion

CVC Capital Partners has sold its entire 13.8% stake in Naturgy through Goldman Sachs in a private placement. 107.5 million shares (11.08%) were sold in an accelerated bookbuilding at €28.55 per share (a 4.64% discount), raising about €3.07 billion; additionally, derivatives to dispose of a further 26.4 million shares (about 2.72%) were settled, bringing the total to roughly €4 billion. Naturgy shares drop sharply after announcement of major share placement

Shares of Naturgy Energy Group fell by around 7% after the company announced the sale of approximately 19.3 million of its own shares, representing 5.5% of its share capital. The aim of the placement is to increase the stock's liquidity and enable inclusion in major indices, but investors fear dilution of their holdings.
