Nickel Industries boosts adjusted EBITDA by 46% in H1 2026 thanks to higher nickel prices
Nickel Industries reported adjusted EBITDA of $247.6m (+46%) and a net profit after tax of $74m for the first half of 2026. Higher nickel prices, stronger mine margins and progress on the HPAL/ENC project (first MHP production in July, first cathode in August) contributed to the result. Leverage is 2.3x, cash and equivalents are around $260m, and management is targeting $1bn EBITDA within two to three years. Remaining risks include water supply for the ENC ramp-up, sulphur costs and regulatory approvals. » More on de.investing.com
Jefferies remains cautious on Nickel Industries due to Indonesian political risks
Jefferies affirms a cautious view on Nickel Industries despite recent purchases in HPAL projects, including 17.5% of PT Teluk Metal Industry and an effective 18% stake in the Sampala project. Analysts see potential upside from the transactions but warn of "unpredictable" commodity policy in Indonesia, such as plans to centralize exports, which could burden the business model. » More on de.investing.com
Nickel Industries records strong EBITDA rise in March quarter 2026 thanks to higher nickel prices
Nickel Industries reports adjusted EBITDA of $135.6 million for the March quarter, driven by higher NPI prices and a recovery across all business segments (RKEF, HPAL, mining). RKEF EBITDA rose to $85.8 million after a 19% increase in realised NPI prices, HPAL contributed $20.7 million, and the mining division swung to a positive EBITDA of $29.0 million. The company secured financing through a new unsecured credit facility ($450 million) and is preparing the start-up of the ENC-HPAL project, with full ramp-up expected by October 2026. Despite higher input costs, particularly for sulphur, Nickel Industries remains well positioned with improved liquidity and reduced concentration risk to benefit from higher nickel prices. » More on de.investing.com
