Novo Nordisk reports that its combination drug Cagrisema (1 mg cagrilintide + semaglutide) produced an average weight loss of 12.4% after 60 weeks in patients with type 2 diabetes versus 9.1% with a 5 mg tirzepatide dose (Zepbound). In a separate phase‑3 trial, Cagrisema achieved a 21% weight loss versus placebo in overweight or obese adults after 68 weeks. Novo Nordisk's share fell during the capital markets day in London by as much as nearly 8% to 260 kroner, reaching its lowest level since April. Novo Nordisk intends to develop at least five new “multi-blockbusters” in the coming years and to have by 2030 at least five new treatments for obesity and diabetes each in phase III, as well as a similar number in other areas.
