NuScale Power's TVA SMR deal could become largest U.S. nuclear contract and unlock construction funding
NuScale Power, the only U.S. company with NRC standard design approval for SMRs, is advancing a 6 GW small modular reactor project with the Tennessee Valley Authority. A signed power purchase agreement (PPA) from TVA would effectively guarantee revenue and clear the way for construction, likely removing a major overhang on NuScale's valuation. Market skepticism persists due to past project cancellations and cost overruns, but management suggests a PPA could be announced as soon as the next earnings report. » More on finance.yahoo.com
NuScale Power posts Q2 revenue of $75,000 and files $750 million share offering
NuScale Power reported Q2 2026 revenue of $75,000, a 99% year-over-year decline driven by completion of Fluor FEED work, and filed an at-the-market offering to raise $750 million. The company holds $1.9 billion in cash and investments after substantial equity proceeds in H1 2026, while Class A shares rose from 318.5 million to 410.4 million by June 30. Management says commercial SMR deployment is not expected until the early 2030s, and the stock has fallen amid dilution, insider selling and lumpy interim revenue tied to engineering and licensing timing. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Nuscale hit: SMR sector loses billions in market value
Shares of companies developing small modular reactors (SMR) have been heavily corrected; since the peak in October 2025 the market has fallen by a total of $30.3 billion. Short sellers are estimated to have made about $2.1 billion in profit. Nuscale reported a $96.7 million loss for H1 2026 and faces a class-action lawsuit alleging deception, while Nano Nuclear has yet to generate any revenue. Oklo does not yet have a complete US licence and is targeting a 2028 commercial start; analysts expect widespread grid connections for many SMR projects only in the 2030s, and there are also concerns about potential shortages of HALEU fuel. » More on golem.de
