OHB has received a contract worth just under €1 billion to develop and manufacture 18 satellite platforms for the European IRIS² system, giving the Bremen company solid growth prospects. IRIS² is a €15.6 billion multi‑orbit programme with 348 satellites and targets institutional, commercial and military users. Additional contracts were awarded to Aerospacelab, Airbus and Thales Alenia Space; Germany is simultaneously advancing the MilSatCOM project SATCOMBw 4, where a consortium of OHB and Rheinmetall is expected.
