Quoin Pharmaceuticals has submitted an IND application to the FDA for QRX003 to treat peeling skin syndrome (PSS) and plans to start a Phase 2 trial in the second half of 2026 pending regulatory approval. The application is supported by clinical observations from an ongoing pediatric study in which the first patient showed improvements in skin findings, sleep and quality of life over 15 months; QRX003 was well tolerated. The Phase 2 trial will aim to recruit six to eight pediatric and adult patients in the US and Europe; QRX003 therefore represents a second indication in addition to Netherton syndrome.
