  • Raízen meets Q1 2026 forecasts thanks to strong fuel business

Raízen reported an adjusted loss per share of -0.0639 reais and revenue of 61.47 billion reais for Q1 2026, both exactly in line with analysts' expectations. The fuel distribution business increased adjusted EBITDA through higher sales, better inventory management and capital turnover, while the EAB segment (sugar, ethanol, bioenergy) weakened due to lower commodity prices and weather-related disruptions. Operating cash flow was 3.6 billion reais, CapEx fell 11%, and management is pursuing a restructuring with a planned split; adjusted net debt amounts to 96% of total capital. The company expects part of the margin strength in fuel distribution to be temporary but sees long-term benefits from regulatory changes and efficiency gains. » More on de.investing.com

  • Raizen reduces sugarcane processing capacity further and sells assets

Raizen will further cut sugarcane processing capacity and is selling or idling plants to reach the company’s "optimal size" and reduce debt. CEO Nelson Gomes said capacities of nearly 20 million tonnes have already been sold or idled. Divestments total 12 billion reais, of which 5 billion are cash and about 7 billion are from Argentine assets expected by the end of the harvest season. The CFO stressed that liquidity is well above the minimum for ongoing operations and the plan will be executed without impairments. » More on de.investing.com

  • Raizen agrees with creditors on 65 billion reais restructuring

Raizen has reached an out-of-court debt restructuring agreement with a majority of its creditors covering roughly 65 billion reais (US$12.6 billion). About 75% of the liabilities included in the restructuring plan back the deal; 45% of the debt will be converted into equity and 55% exchanged for new debt instruments. The company plans to separate its sugarcane processing business from fuel distribution by the end of 2027, and CFO Lorival Luz will take on additional responsibilities as chief restructuring officer. Raizen filed for an out-of-court restructuring in March and expects further creditor approvals before the June 8 deadline. » More on de.investing.com
