RF Industries posts stronger profits on higher revenue and improved margins while bookings lag
RF Industries reported fiscal Q3 revenue up 21% to $23.96 million and operating income of about $1.8 million versus $720,000 a year earlier, driven by a shift to customized cabling and integrated systems that lifted gross margin to 35.6%. Quarterly bookings totaled $22.5 million, below revenue, with backlog at $18.6 million at quarter-end and rising to $19.8 million by Sept. 14. The results highlight margin-driven profitability gains, but sustaining the improvement depends on whether incoming orders and backlog conversion can keep pace with higher shipments and maintain a favorable product mix. » More on finance.yahoo.com
