Rottneros turns EBITDA in Q2 2026 to SEK 31m thanks to lower wood costs and cost-cutting program
Rottneros reported a positive EBITDA of SEK 31 million in Q2 2026 versus -15 million SEK a year earlier. The improvement was mainly driven by lower wood costs and a cost-reduction program that included workforce cuts. Despite weak pulp prices and currency headwinds, the company gained market share in Europe; management did not provide a formal earnings forecast. Operating cash flow remains strained and planned 2026 investments are being scaled back considerably. » More on de.investing.com
Rottneros: negative EBITDA of SEK 36m in Q1 2026 after currency effects and production outages
Rottneros reported a negative EBITDA of SEK 36 million in Q1 2026 (year earlier: SEK -27 million), weighed down mainly by adverse exchange rates and production outages. Production volume fell by about 5%, while the company cut fixed costs by SEK 26 million and reduced working capital by SEK 280 million. The share fell 1.45% after the results. Rottneros remains cautiously optimistic and plans investments of about SEK 60 million in 2026 with continued focus on cost management; currency volatility remains a central risk. » More on de.investing.com
Rottneros reports loss in Q3 2025 after collapse of pulp prices
Rottneros posted an EBITDA of -20 million SEK in the third quarter of 2025, compared with 70 million SEK a year earlier. The causes are lower pulp prices, adverse currency effects, reduced sales volumes and sharply higher wood costs, which now make up 76% of variable production costs. The share fell 4.75% in pre-market trading to 2.91 SEK. The company completed a rights issue of 300 million SEK, is increasing cost control and is focusing on niche products to stabilize its balance sheet. » More on de.investing.com
