Sandoz closes strategic cooperation with Henlius; shares hit 52-week high
Sandoz agreed a comprehensive partnership with Shanghai Henlius Biotech with a potential total value of up to $322 million and near-term payments of up to $100.5 million in 2026. The cooperation covers up to 10 biosimilar active substances; Sandoz will receive global commercialization rights outside China, while Henlius will take on development and manufacturing. Shanghai Henlius Biotech closes strategic cooperation with Sandoz and grants exclusive rights for up to ten candidates
According to the agreement with Sandoz, Shanghai Henlius Biotech granted exclusive rights for approval and commercialization of up to ten product candidates outside China, including indications in oncology, autoimmune diseases and ophthalmology. The partnership is intended to secure Henlius’ international expansion through Sandoz’s commercial infrastructure and support its revenue-diversification goal.
