Scatec completes Obelisk project ahead of schedule and improves outlook on strong project execution
Scatec reported Q2 revenue growth of 5.4% to NOK 1.37bn and a robust Development & Construction EBITDA of NOK 234m, while consolidated EBITDA fell 17.6% to NOK 824m due to one-off effects in the Philippines. The Obelisk project in Egypt was completed ahead of schedule and under budget; the short-term generation portfolio now stands at 12.3 GW. Management increased the revolving credit facility to $350m and reported available liquidity of NOK 5.1bn, but kept the annual mid‑point EBITDA estimate for power generation and lowered the volume guidance because of El Niño effects in the Philippines. Scatec highlights several upcoming financial closes in Egypt and plans to expand battery storage, but sees risks from ongoing hydrology, high leverage and project execution risks. » More on de.investing.com

Scatec shows operational strength, lowers EBITDA outlook after Q1 2026
Scatec reported pro rata revenues of NOK 1,640m (-31%) and EBITDA of NOK 774m for Q1 2026, weighed down by the absence of a disposal gain from 2025. Power generation rose 11% to 1,046 GWh, and the project pipeline with large projects such as Obelisk in Egypt remains robust. Management cut the full‑year EBITDA forecast from power generation to NOK 3,600–3,900m; the company also reported free cash flow of NOK 2.6bn and available liquidity of NOK 6.1bn. Investors reacted with a share price decline of around 7.4%, while currency, Ukraine and weather risks were cited as the main factors for near‑term headwinds. » More on de.investing.com
