SES AI has signed a term sheet for a joint venture with Hisun New Energy Materials in which SES AI will hold 90% and which is expected to be finalized by the end of October. The aim is the commercial production of electrolyte materials discovered via the AI platform “Molecular Universe.” Hisun contributes manufacturing capacity of over 150,000 tonnes per year; the JV is intended to generate recurring revenues and provide capex-light market access.
