Takeover talks with Seven & i drive Żabka share to record high
Żabka’s share climbed 8.3% to 33.15 PLN and hit a 52‑week high after reports of advanced talks with Seven & i to buy a stake of several tens of percent. Seven & i confirmed talks with a large Polish convenience‑store operator but has not made a final decision public. Seven & i plans stake in Zabka to expand in Europe
According to Nikkei, Seven & i is in the final stages of negotiations to acquire a stake of several tens of percent in the Polish Zabka Group. The deal size is expected to be several hundred billion yen and would expand Seven & i’s presence in Europe far beyond the roughly 360 stores it currently operates in the Nordic countries. Zabka runs about 10,000 convenience stores and posted revenue of 27.15 billion zloty in 2025.
