  • Stryker invests about $400 million in CMR Surgical and secures takeover option

Stryker is investing roughly $400 million in CMR Surgical, gaining an option for a full takeover and becoming the exclusive US distributor for the Versius surgical robot. The modular Versius system is FDA‑approved and has already been used in over 40,000 procedures outside the US. Stryker aims to use its reach and sales strength to win market share from Intuitive Surgical; the final takeover price remains undecided, and the investment temporarily reduces balance‑sheet risk through a staged review of the alliance. » More on deraktionaer.de

  • Stryker confirms full‑year targets despite supply bottlenecks for peripheral vascular implants

At the Wells Fargo Healthcare Conference Stryker reaffirmed its 2026 organic growth forecast of 8.3–9.3%, but said it is being weighed down by aftereffects of a cyber incident, production bottlenecks for peripheral vascular implants and weaker demand for hip implants. Supply constraints are expected to shave about 70–80 basis points off growth in each of Q2–Q4; the cyber incident could cost around $350 million in 2026. At the same time, Stryker reported strong order intake for capital equipment and solid growth in trauma and extremities, expects a recovery in 2027 once supply issues are resolved, and continues to rely on M&A, its product pipeline and the Mako platform. A detailed update is planned with the Q3 results. » More on de.investing.com

  • Supply chain problems weigh on Stryker — stock falls 7.7%

At the Wells Fargo Healthcare Conference, Stryker reported ongoing production problems that are limiting inventory availability and hindering new business opportunities. CFO Preston Wells said the issue will extend into the third quarter and partly into the fourth. The joint-replacement division showed a weaker-than-expected recovery due to stronger seasonality; competitor Zimmer Biomet also declined. » More on de.investing.com
