Sunrise Q2 2026: revenue and EBITDA decline, free cash flow significantly strengthened
Sunrise reported a 2.6% decline in revenue and a 3.8% decrease in EBITDA in the second quarter of 2026, while adjusted free cash flow rose to CHF 204m with reduced capital expenditures of CHF 102m. The company recorded 21,000 net new postpaid customers and positive development in internet connections; the price increase effective 1 August was also accepted better than expected. Management confirmed the annual guidance with stable revenue, around CHF 1bn EBITDA and free cash flow of CHF 380–400m. Sunrise issues €500 million senior secured notes with 5% coupon to 2033
Sunrise places a €500 million senior secured euro bond maturing in 2033 with a 5% interest rate. The proceeds will fully refinance a 3.875% bond (due 2029) and partially refinance a 3.625% bond (2029); the remainder is to be repaid from operating cash flow in the second half of 2026. Sunrise appoints Andreas Tolpeit as its new chief financial officer and member of the executive board effective 1 September 2026; he succeeds Jany Fruytier, who will leave at the end of August. Tolpeit was most recently CFO of private school group Cognita and was also responsible there for technology, innovation and AI strategy; previously he worked in investments at Jacobs Holding.
