  • Telenor share plunges after disappointing quarterly results and lowered forecast

Telenor reports numbers below expectations and cuts its forecast for EBITDA and cash flow, stalling growth in the Nordic markets and reducing revenues in Telenor Asia, particularly Bangladesh. The share then falls sharply, losing around 12 percent and wiping out almost all year-to-date gains. The disappointing results add to weaker sentiment on European stock markets. » More on finanzen.net

  • Telenor cuts 2026 forecast after weak Nordic business and pressure in Bangladesh

Telenor has lowered its 2026 forecast and now expects flat to slightly negative organic growth in adjusted EBITDA. The company cited weaker revenue growth in Norway and Finland, higher operating costs, charges from contract businesses and a difficult environment in Bangladesh. The free cash flow before M&A forecast was specified at around NOK 10 billion. In the second quarter adjusted EBITDA fell 9.0% to NOK 7.99 billion, revenue fell 5.1% to NOK 18.14 billion and net profit attributable to shareholders fell 32.3% to NOK 2.52 billion. » More on de.investing.com

  • Telenor takes over Bahnhof for SEK 6.1 billion and becomes second-largest broadband provider in Sweden

Telenor acquires a majority stake in Bahnhof for SEK 6.1 billion, valuing Bahnhof at 17 times last twelve months’ EV/EBITDA. The takeover brings roughly 500,000 residential and 15,000 business customers into Telenor’s operations and strengthens its position in the Swedish broadband market. Telenor expects average synergies of SEK 700 million in additional annual EBITDA in the first four years, with integration costs of about SEK 100 million per year, and forecasts an increase in earnings per share from 2029. » More on de.investing.com
