  • Tryg under pressure after JPMorgan downgrade and fluctuating BlackRock stake

Tryg shares fall about 1.1% to DKK 151.5 after JPMorgan lowered its rating from Neutral to Underweight and cut the price target from DKK 170 to DKK 140. The bank cites expected EPS growth of only around 3% (2025–2028) versus roughly 7.5% for the sector and weaker revenue growth through 2026. Additional uncertainty is created by a volatile development in BlackRock’s stake and a one-off Q2 charge from a ruling on workers’ compensation insurance, which weighs on profitability. » More on de.investing.com

  • Tryg beats expectations in second quarter thanks to strong investment income

Danish insurer Tryg reported a net profit after tax of DKK 874m for Q2, beating analysts’ estimate of DKK 722m. Higher net investment income of DKK 262m offset a court-ordered provision that significantly depressed the reported underwriting result. Adjusted for the provision, the underwriting result rose by about 4% to DKK 2.39bn, and the solvency ratio improved to 196%. Tryg proposes an ordinary dividend of DKK 2.15 per share and recorded particularly strong claims development and an improved loss ratio in Norway. » More on de.investing.com

  • Tryg Q1 2026: insurance growth offsets volatile investment income

Tryg reports a Q1 2026 underwriting result of DKK 1,655m (+7%) and a slightly improved combined ratio of 84.0%, while investment income collapsed from DKK 320m to DKK 2m due to strong market volatility. The personal lines business surprised with a 22% rise in underwriting result, whereas the commercial segment saw a 12% decline. The dividend was increased to DKK 2.15, the solvency ratio stands at 192%, and management confirms its financial and strategic targets through 2027. Tryg continues to emphasize a conservative investment policy, cost discipline and profitability initiatives, particularly in Norway. » More on de.investing.com
