Virco elects new directors, approves compensation and appoints Baker Tilly as auditor

At Virco’s annual meeting Craig L. Levra and Robert R. Lind were elected as Class I directors through 2029. Shareholders approved the advisory vote on executive compensation and confirmed Baker Tilly US, LLP as the independent accounting firm for the fiscal year ending January 31, 2027. For the first quarter ended April 30, 2026, Virco reported a net loss of $2.8 million on revenue down 9.1% to $30.7 million. Decline in demand for school furniture drives Virco into quarterly loss

For the quarter ended April 30, 2026, Virco reported a net loss of $2.8 million versus a year‑ago profit of $0.7 million, on revenue down 9.1% to $30.7 million. Twelve‑month revenue fell 25% to $199.65 million and gross margin declined from 47.5% to 41.4% due to lower volumes and production utilization. Inventories and delivery/order backlog eased slightly, cash rose to $3.7 million; the company repurchased shares, paid dividends and declared a quarterly dividend of $0.025 per share.
