Waste Connections has received approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange to extend its share buyback program from August 12, 2026, to August 11, 2027. The company plans to acquire up to 12,578,462 common shares, about 5% of outstanding shares as of July 31, 2026, with a daily cap of 95,113 shares under TSX rules. Waste Connections plans to issue two series of senior, unsecured Canadian-dollar notes maturing in 2033 and 2036. Waste Connections: margin growth lifts Q1 profit above consensus

Waste Connections beat analyst expectations in Q1 2026 with adjusted earnings per share of $1.23 (consensus $1.18) and revenue of $2.371 billion (+6.4% y/y). Adjusted EBITDA margin and EBITDA increased; adjusted EBITDA reached $769.5 million and adjusted free cash flow was $246 million.
