  • Air China expects significantly higher net loss for first half of 2026 due to rising jet fuel costs

Air China forecasts a net loss attributable to shareholders of RMB 2.1–2.6 billion for the six-month fiscal period ending 30 June 2026; adjusted for one-off items a loss of RMB 2.3–3.1 billion is expected (previous year’s loss: RMB 1.806 billion). The company attributes the deterioration mainly to higher jet fuel prices driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, after Q1 still generated profits and Q2 was hit by fuel costs. The figures are preliminary and unaudited; detailed financial data will follow in the half-year report, and shareholders are advised to exercise caution when trading the stock. » Más en de.investing.com
