Trend Micro cut its net profit forecast for fiscal 2026 by around 11%, citing higher costs from accelerated investments in AI infrastructure, cloud expansion and brand building for new business areas. The shares fell 8.4% on Monday to ¥5,361. In the first half of 2026, revenue rose 11.0% to ¥148.6 billion thanks to strong demand for the AI-powered platform Vision One, while operating profit declined 23.5% to ¥21.8 billion. Trend Micro reported its highest net revenue in company history in Q2 2026 (+13% yoy), but constant-currency growth was only 3%. ARR for Vision One rose 49% and net revenue retention reached 122%, while operating income fell 54% due to increased spending on cloud and AI infrastructure. Trend Micro shares fell about 2.4% after the company reported Q1 net revenue of 73,856 million yen, ARR of more than $1.7bn (+3% YoY) and EPS of ¥57.56 (expected ¥49.88).
